Grape Juice, Solos, and Speeches

I LOVE GRAPE JUICE. Ok so I was at my friend's house last weekend, and she had grape juice. I think I must have consumed the whole jug over the course of a day and a half, because we don't have grape juice at my house, and I freaking LOVE that stuff. You know what's weird? I used to hate anything grape, including grape cough medicine (I still think that stuff is soooo vile), and now I love grapes, GRAPE JUICE, and grape candy. Yuuummmm grapes. Tehe.

So I was trading fours with a buddy in jazz band on Tuesday and the band teacher was watching us, and after we were done, she's like, "You guys are going to trade fours at the jazz festival!"

My stomach kind of went to my throat at that point, and I almost flat-out refused to do it. But I figured it MIGHT be fun, so I just sat there in dread the rest of the time. Excitement, she wrote. I don't know, I think I might do just fine. I'm just being a whimp.

Speeches!!! In social studies I had to write a speech about an organization that strives towards "social equity", so I chose the NOW, the National Organization for Women, and I have to "not read" the speech. I am still processing that one. There are points where I'm like, "I'm going to do amazing!!! I got this!!" And then other times I'm like, "WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??? I CAN'T DO THIS. WHY IS SHE MAKING IS GO THROUGH THIS TORTURE???" Anyway, I have the whole weekend and  Monday and Tuesday to practice! I GOT this!!! I guess this is one of those moments.... Or maybe not.... I'm not sure....

A Lost Book, Doctor Who, and Snow

So... hey guys. It's been a while.
Yesterday I put my flash drive into my computer, because I was going to work on my book that I'm writing. And I couldn't find my book on it anywhere. I checked every computer in the house, and it was nowhere. The upside is that I can write it all over again, because I kind of switched from first person to third person in the middle of the book. Yeah. :)
And I have discovered Doctor Who, one of the greatest T.V. shows ever created. My favorite Doctor is David Tennant, and then Christopher Eggleston (I think that's his last name), and then Matt Smith.
And it was snowing... a few minutes ago. I seriously felt like I was back on January. And it's not supposed to be snowing! We got our share of snow last month. Anyway I just wanted to share. Toodles!

Alone? Or just confused?

Today is one of those days where I just don't feel like I fit in with the world. I spent most of my day locked up in my room, reading old yearbooks, trying to make sense of what I am feeling and why. It's not that I feel alone, because there are people all around me that love me and care about me. I guess I just feel isolated, and... well, I don't know how to describe it. But not alone. I will never be alone. Nobody is ever alone.
I don't like feeling this way, especially when there are probably more than a million things to be happy about. There's the fact that we got a whole week off of school, which was more than nice. It was extremely relieving and relaxing. And I got to see my wonderful friends and family all week. I guess it's just one of those days... it'll pass. Tomorrow is a new day.
Confused. That's the word. I'm extremely confused about many things. Well, I suppose it's okay to be confused. It's leads you to think about more than just our problems. It leads us to think about everything around you and if it should effect you in the way it does anymore. And I hate deciding. Decision-making is definitely NOT my expertise.
Well, I just had to ramble about that. But don't forget, tomorrow is a new day.

Guess what?

Guess what?
1. I've heard that pickle flavored Lays and mango popsicles are a great combination (Courtesy of my BFF Taylor).
2. Our school jazz band is playing next Friday, the last day of school before winter break, and we get to play for an hour and a half straight!
3. Our school has a concert next Thursday and I'm playing in the orchestra and the jazz band.
4. I got accepted to play in the 8th grade honors orchestra for a day! So nervous!
5. There are cheetos in our car. Yum.
6. There is a lunar eclipse tomorrow at 6 AM, and Ruthie and I are getting up at 5:45 to go see it. You can call us crazy, but it's not going to happen again until 2014, so it's very rare. AND, I've never seen a lunar eclipse before. Or a solar eclipse. But solar eclipses are much more rare.
7. This isn't something I'm happy about, because it's probably not good, but the moon moves a centimeter closer to earth each year. That means in a century, the moon is a metre closer to the earth! Scary...
8. I got to hold my newborn baby cousin today! And I got to see my aunt, uncle and my other cousin Chloe! :)
9. I have very soft fleece snowflake pajama pants. Comfy.
10. I got to swim in the hotel pool tonight, and I have my santa hat!
11. It's almost Winter Break!
12. We get to go to Maine in a week! I need to start packing!
13. When I go to Maine, I get to see my grandma's new dog Lucy and all the other dogs and cats, oh, and of course, my family. I love my family. :)
14. I'm very happy right now! :) :) :) :) :) :)

Anyway, my fingers wouldn't stop moving so I decided to type what I'm happy about. I'll try to write more often! Toodles! :P

Turkey, gravy, and mashed potatoes, oh my!!!!

Thanksgiving was great except  have a small stomach and didn't eat that much except some turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy. Oh, and cheesecake.
Tomorrow is black Friday and it is all the rage. Walmart opens at midnight (in an hour and a half). People have been trampled to death by ecstatic shoppers scrambling from store to store. I'm not going to die by getting trampled. I mean, it's such a morbid and stupid way to die! Who dies by getting tramples? Ever?
Anyway, my point is, I'm not going shopping. I'm going shopping on Saturday with my best friend at half price books and tomorrow my sister and I are going to Bartell's and QFC.
Well, happy thanksgiving! And even though it's really early, happy holidays!

There's never anything to talk about on this blog anymore. I need to think of a new strategy. Sure, I'm writing a book, chapter by chapter, but I'm not brave enough to post it for all of the world to see. Noooooo way. No way.

I just put my thinking hat on. It's not working.
